FFV - Freiheitlicher Familienverband Österreich
The Freiheitlicher Familienverband Österreich (Freedom Party Family Association of Austria, or FFV) is essentially concerned with the implementation of FPÖ principles in family policy and stands – according to its own definition – for a "commitment to the family in its traditional form". The Freiheitlicher Familienverband is currently also represented in the Family Policy Advisory Council of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Family and Youth.
From a programmatic point of view, the Association advocates for an upgrading of the position of families within society and for the promotion of family formation. Its catalogue of demands pertains, among other things, to the topics of childcare, the world of work and to housing. Also addressed are fair compensation for the work of bringing up children, as well as compensation for the burden of caring for relatives.
The Freiheitlicher Familienverband publishes its own association newspaper and through its provincial organisations offers, for example, lectures and seminars in the provinces. Moreover, it is possible to apply for membership of the Freiheitlicher Familienverband.
