FB- Freiheitliche Bauernschaft Österreich

The Freiheitliche Bauernschaft Österreich (Freedom Party Agricultural Community of Austria, or FB) is a registered association and sees itself as a point of contact for all those employed in domestic agriculture and forestry. The Freiheitliche Bauernschaft operates throughout Austria and has its headquarters in the federal capital city, Vienna. It also has its own regional organisations in all nine federal provinces.

In the majority of provinces, the Freiheitliche Bauernschaft is also represented by one or more provincial chamber councillors in the plenary assembly and specialised committees of the provincial Chamber of Agriculture. In Carinthia, for example, the Freiheitliche Bauernschaft also provides the First Vice-President in the parliament of the provincial Chamber of Agriculture. The representatives in the plenary assembly are elected in the course of the Chamber of Agriculture elections held in a federal province.

Within the framework of its programme, the Freiheitliche Bauernschaft advocates, among other things, the preservation of small-scale agriculture and Austrian self-sufficiency in respect of high-quality and healthy food from domestic production. The Freiheitliche Bauernschaft also demands a fair wage for quality products. A further goal is animal-friendly and environmentally-sound production.
