·         The specialist modules of this year’s Media Academy took place on 6 and 7 November and dealt with journalistic investigation, social media, journalistic writing and video journalism.

·         The specialist module on journalistic investigation focused on obtaining information from public sources, in particular from legislative and public administration sources, as well as on the journalistic preparation of the data and information obtained. In the practice-oriented social media module, participants learned how to present journalistic content to best effect in social media with a particular focus on preparing graphics. The goal of the journalistic writing module was to improve written skills on the basis of specific feedback on previously submitted texts. In the Video Journalism module, a practical example was used to show which steps are necessary to produce a video report; one example was the creation of an informative report based on an interview with a politician.

·         Following completion of the specialist modules, course participants were awarded their certificates on Sunday.
