Fit People – Fit Systems

Podcast on sports and health

The new podcast (in German language) from the Educational Institute of the Freedom Party of Austria highlights the connection between physical exercise, mental health, and long-term relief for the healthcare system.

In five episodes, triathlete and trainer Markus Mlinar talks to Althea Diamante about key issues relating to prevention, personal responsibility, and the role of sport in a social context.

Topics covered include:

  • Exercise as a health and socio-political challenge
  • Preventive strategies in times of pandemic, crisis, and rising costs
  • Health responsibility between school, family, and clubs
  • Structures and effectiveness of sports promotion in Austria
  • The role of individual responsibility for an efficient healthcare system

The aim of the podcast is to promote a deeper understanding of preventive health measures and to contribute to the discussion about sustainable structures in the healthcare system. As part of the Freedom Party Education Institute's health focus on “Fit People – Fit Systems,” several events have already been held with Markus Mlinar, dealing with the promotion of individual health literacy and the strengthening of resilient social structures.

The first episode of the podcast is available today on the Freedom Party Education Institute's YouTube channel and on Spotify under the title “Fit People – Fit Systems”.
