Outdoor seminar for graduates of the Young Academy
Team spirit, reliability and clear communication
From 23 to 25 January, an outdoor seminar for the Young Academy took place on the Dachstein. The team-building seminar was aimed at graduates of the Young Academy and focused on growing together and overcoming challenges.
In a challenging alpine environment, team spirit, reliability and clear communication were not only discussed, but also put into practice. Joint ascents, setting up bivouacs and spending the night in a self-built igloo or snow cave demanded cohesion and a sense of responsibility.
A highlight of the programme was a lecture by Walter Laser, who used extreme experiences from high mountains and polar regions to show how decisions can be made under pressure and limits can be overcome.
