Mag. Harald Stefan

Harald Stefan studied law (Mag. iur. 1989) and is a notary in Vienna. He has been politically active since his student days, including as chairman of the Ring of Freedom Students of Law and as an active member of the central committee of the Austrian Students' Union. He is the current Freedom Party District Party Chairman for Vienna Simmering and was a Member of the Vienna State Parliament and Member of the City Council from 2001-2008, and has been a Member of the National Council since 2008. Harald Stefan is Deputy Regional Party Chairman for Vienna and Deputy Federal Party Chairman. In June 2021, he was interim federal party chairman of the Freedom Party of Austria.

His work focuses on justice, the constitution and culture; among other things, he was chairman of the incompatibility committee, deputy chairman of the constitutional committee and is currently deputy chairman of the justice committee. He is also a member of the Austria-Japan and Austria-Serbia Parliamentary Groups. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Vienna Cultural Ring. (as of 2021)
