Launch of the Women’s Academy 2020
Women’s policies and political communication
From 25 to 26 September 2020 the first module of the Women’s Academy 2020 took place in Vienna. Participants, who came from all parts of Austria, were welcomed by the head of the FPÖ Women’s Initiative, Carmen Schimanek, and given a grounding in the FPÖ’s women’s policies and the realm of political communication.
Topics covered in the programme included how to recognise one’s own development potential and authenticity, self-reflection and dealing with nervousness, optimising body language and non-verbal communication, effect on others, perception filters, developing core messages and the specificities of political communication.
The Women’s Academy of the FPÖ Education Institute is a training pathway especially for women comprising five modules that are held throughout Austria and scheduled to suit the needs of working women. The course ends with a certificate. Government, rhetoric’s, media work, motivation strategies and other important basic skills are taught, developed and trained with highly-qualified lecturers and trainers to ensure that women are well-equipped to meet the demands made on female political leaders. The second class of the Women’s Academy took place in 2020.
