Metapolitics Academy: Third Module in Vienna
From September 5 to 6, 2025, the third module of the Metapolitics Academy took place in Vienna. Under the title “History Politics: The Power of History(ies),” participants explored the significance of historical narratives for political and social discourse.
The focus was on the role of history: Who determines which historical interpretations become effective? How do they shape the social “zeitgeist”? And to what extent can they influence political options? These questions were discussed and explored in depth in an exchange with experts from German-speaking countries.
The Metapolitics Academy comprises a total of four modules and is dedicated to the framework conditions of political processes and how they are shaped by the media, intellectuals, and institutions. The aim of the course is to create a deeper understanding of the emergence and control of social discourse.
