Graduate meeting of the Europe Academy
The work of the political groups in the European Parliament
On 17 January 2025, the graduate meeting of the Europe Academy took place in Vösendorf near Vienna, which also included the final module of the current year. As part of the event, the graduates of the current course were presented with their certificates by Dr Axel Kassegger, President of the FPÖ Education Institute.
The FPÖ and the AfD are now organised into two different political groups in the EU Parliament. While the FPÖ is a member of the ‘Patriots for Europe’ group, the AfD is the driving force behind the ‘Europe of Sovereign Nations - ESN’ group. However, there is intensive cooperation, particularly in the area of coronavirus education. ESN President Rene Aust and EU mandatary Gerald Hauser explained the formation of the new parliamentary group and the cooperation in Brussels.
As part of the graduate meeting, former and current participants of the Europe Academy have the opportunity to exchange ideas and network.
