60 Years of the FPÖ's Defense Policy. A chronicle
New publication!
With the book "60 Jahre Wehrpolitik der FPÖ" (60 Years of the FPÖ's Military Policy), the Freedom Education Institute publishes a work on the party's history and the Freedom Party's commitment to the Austrian Armed Forces.
In the first part of this chronicle, the history of the Austrian Armed Forces from 1945 onwards, when the first steps towards an Austrian Armed Forces were taken after the end of the war and demobilization, is examined. The various chapters deal, among other things, with the first foreign deployments of the Austrian Armed Forces, the first ideas for a concept of Comprehensive National Defense and the deployment of the Austrian Armed Forces in the event of natural disasters at home.
The publication focuses on the scientific elaboration of the FPÖ's defense policy and the liberal defense concepts, starting with the concept of the VdU. The first FPÖ party program with a commitment to the right to national defense, the first formation of an FPÖ defense committee and the FPÖ's participation in government with liberal defense ministers are discussed.
